A Misty Look Back At The First Organization To Gainfully Employ Sean Landeta

While today marked the retirement of Sean Landeta after a quarter century in professional football, last month also happened to be the 25th anniversary of the USFL’s formation.  While the league never managed to gain more than a dollar from their antitrust suit against the NFL, it did provide a valuable launching pad for the likes of Jim Kelly, Doug Flutie, Steve Young, Marv Levy and Reggie White.

And most importantly, it was an excellent training ground for the political / religious insurgency of Ron Simmons aka Faarooq.
