That would be Lefty Relief pitcher Damaso Marte, not IF Andy Marte. The Pirates can’t trade away players they don’t have.

It would have been a better deal if we’d been able to give up Andy Marte but I still like this one for the Bucs. If I were a Yankee fan I’d probably like this deal also.
If the Pirates still had Littlefield, they would have waited until the deadline and taken Coke and Kotos.
i remain curious what they’re gonna get for Jack Wilson and/or Jason Bay. Though by the night of the trade, I can’t promise I won’t call ’em Hack Wilson and Michael Bay.
