Someone Forgot To Tell The Blazers & Rockets The Playoffs Don’t Begin In Early November

Seriously, there’s not supposed to be a Game Of The Year candidate on November 6. Brandon Roy apparently told an overseas journalist, “Obama winning the election is bigger than any shot I could make.”  Perhaps, but Obama only won one election.

  1. David Roth says:

Wow. I stopped watching around halftime, because I knew I’d be up later than Mushnick deemed appropriate and because I found myself agreeing with Charles Barkley when he practically yawned, “I’m watching this because y’all are paying me.” That’s the last time I follow Mushy’s advice, regarding bedtimes or anything else. Well, maybe about growing that beard. That seemed like a decent idea.

  2. I always tivo Inside the NBA so I was pleased to catch the last 4 min. of regulation and the OT – yeah, shocking to see any pro hoops worth watching until, oh, February? The football game wasn’t bad, either.

  3. I’ve seen this video about 5 times now, and can’t believe it played out like that. Reminds me of a game a few years ago when McGrady scored 13 points in 33 seconds.

  4. I remember that game well – was against the Spurs, about 4 years ago. Spurs laying 4 or 5 points, they were up by 10 with 49 seconds to go. I was counting my money . . . . Houston wins by 1. I think my worst “beat” ever. Why I shouldn’t gamble.
