Any Chance Rickey Can Wear John Olerud’s Batting Helmet On His HOF Plaque?

OK, I know Henderson has denied the Olerud story, but much like the rest of you, I’m looking forward to his Cooperstown acceptance speech. Jim Rice’s a tad less so, but on the bright side, we are now spared the annual op/ed attempts at championing or disparaging Rice’s candidacy.

I will of course fill the Rice op/ed void with my own on Andre Dawson.

Justice is finally done… Jim Ed was w/o a doubt one of the best hitters of his era. AND no performance enhancers. Congrats!
