Red Sox Salute To Pats Low On Star PowerA classy move, no question, but the Red Sox TV spot congratulating the Patriots on their
Super Bowl victory isn't gonna win any awards for production value, or for big
name glitz . Pitcher Tim Wakefield and manager Terry Francona are
the only persons shown offering their best wishes. Was Nomar "how about those
Patriots?" Garciaparra unavailable, or was it too awkward to ask? The
sentiment is nice enough but the ad would have greater resonance had the Red Sox
picked a spokesperson or several who are more identified with the club's history
than a guy who has yet to manage a game in Boston.
But maybe they couldn't find Bob Stanley's phone number. Posted: Tue - February 3, 2004 at 07:11 AM |
