Horn Has The Hook-UpNew Orleans Saints receiver Joe Horn has a lot of
angry, old-school killjoys on his case today following last night's
premeditated cell-phone TD
celebration.
![]() "I had told my kids to be at home, watching the game, and I told my momma, 'Mom, if I score the second one, I'm going to get my cell phone out,' " Horn said. Horn then ran back to his bench and was confronted by coach Jim Haslett. Horn drew the coach's ire earlier this season for a touchdown celebration. After scoring against Atlanta Oct. 19, Horn pretended to machine gun two teammates, who fell to the ground in the end zone. "It was the same thing in Atlanta," Haslett said. "He'll learn. He's only 32." Add my name to the list of commentators outraged by this classless act. At the very least, couldn't this attention-hog have managed to perform such a stunt earlier in the game? If Horn had whipped out the cell phone to celebrate a first quarter score, Phil Mushnick would've seen it in time for his Monday column. Are today's players selfish or what?
