Ben Schwartz On The ALCS

Ben writes :

If I can go TV GUIDE on you for a moment, JEERS! to FOXTV for not showing as many crying Yankee fans as they did Boston fans (Cashman excluded) and JEERS! to MLB for subjecting me to "God Bless America" 14 times during 7th inning stretches over the course of the playoffs. That's NOT what our boys are fighting for, and it's not the national anthem, so leave your f'n hats on and don't encourage the terrorists.

I don't care what the technicalities of the Boston "curse" are -- beating the Yankees or winning the Series -- it's over if the Chunkees have Bucky Dent toss out the first pitch and wave pictures of George Herman Ruth to no effect. The Bambino's voodoo days are long gone, anyway. I think you can credit Barry Bonds with this, as I don't believe Mr. Ruth, the soon-to-be THIRD in line for the home run title, or current FIFTH in line for single season homers, has the juice to curse anybody anymore.

(officially declared impotent by Ben)

And as a Cub fan, my thanks to the Yanks for removing the onus of biggest choke of the 2004 season from Wrigely.
