Yankees Acquire LambLooking for further options in the wake of Aaron
Boone's Jeff Kent impersonation, the Yankees have traded minor league pitcher
Jose Garcia to Texas for IF Mike Lamb.
Lamb spent most of 2003 at AAA Oklahoma after losing the 3B job in spring training to eventual All-Star Hank Blalock. As you've probably read elsewhere this week, Drew Henson, once regarded as the Yankees' top prospect, reached terms with the club on a contract buy out, clearing the path for his entry into the NFL. The former understudy to Tom Brady at Michigan, is expected to receive much interest from teams eager to add a big, immobile white guy who hasn't thrown a football in several years.
