Giants / Marlins NLDS series autopsyApologies to 3 Billion year old Jack McKeon for
all the cracks about his age.
When was the last time we saw a playoff series conclude on
a home plate collision?
Has anyone looked so totally Cedeno-esque not once but
twice in a series as Jose Cruz
Jr.?
Is Alou's failure to pinch run for JT Snow
in the top of the 9th in Game 4 as glaring an error as the green light Snow was
given? Amidst all the replays of Pudge's amazing job blocking the plate and
absorbing Snow's blow, not as much analysis of how shallow Hammond's line drive
was and how well positioned Conine was to throw a one-hop
strike.
Other than that, Pudge's stock went up big time in the last 48 hours. From his handling of the Marlins staff, to his big night with the bat on in Game 3, to his coming out on top in opposite roles in two plate collisions in Game 4, I-Rod gets the MVP award they don't bother to hand out in the Division Series.
