Robert Merrill, RIP



Robert Merrill, the opera baritone better known to CSTB readers as an opening day fixture at Yankee Stadium, died this past Saturday at the age of 87.




Though it is too early to say who will get the nod for next April's season-opening rendition of "The Star-Spangled Banner", Ashlee Simpson might be available.
