Ben Schwartz On Dodger DoledrumsI'm trying not to hold a grudge. While touring
the American Southwest last week, I was counting on Ben to keep us updated with
the John Layfield Bradshaw Sieg Heil
Controversy, but instead, he prefers to wallow in the misery of a
bad week in Dodgertown.
![]() (Bradshaw - no longer handling Shawn Green's money) It's easy to decode the message Eric Gagne sent the Giants last week -- I'm losing and I'm pissed. After the four game sweep by the Giants, I saw the Bums Friday night at Dodger Stadium as the Angels got 22 hits and a 13-0 shutout win. It was noisemaker night at Chavez, and apparently fans received faulty promo items, as by the 10th run of the shutout they weren't too noisy at all. Instead of pointlessly wasting Gagne, Jim Tracy sent Robin Ventura out to pitch the 9th. Ventura pitched a scoreless inning, for which he received a standing ovation. Btw, the noisemakers might have been irritating, but the Dodger Blue Wig -- featuring Dodger blue with a white stripe down the middle -- makes LA fans look like Israeli skunks.
