Superior Product Returns To Yankee Stadium Menu

Cracker Jack is back.

The snack known for its appearance in the lyrics to "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" has returned to Yankee stadium after being briefly replaced by the competing caramel popcorn Crunch 'n Munch.

Yankees officials had decided to replace Cracker Jack after Frito-Lay started packaging it only in bags, rather than boxes _ a decision which drew the ire of the snack's fans.

"The fans have spoken," the Yankees' chief operating officer, Lonn Trost, told The New York Times for its Thursday editions.

A spokesman for Frito-Lay, Charles Nicolas, said the company had sought to preserve the caramel popcorn's freshness better with the bags and was pleased that Cracker Jack would return to the home of the Bronx Bombers.

"We're proud to be back in the lineup," Nicolas told the Times.
