Sick Of Poker Games On TV?.....Then You'll Love ESPN's New Dramatic Series
About People Playing Poker
On my frequent trips to the Land Of The Free, I'm
increasingly bummed out at how shows like "Plastic Surgery For Pets" and "Who
Wants To Marry The Ugly Guy" have dominated the prime-time landscape, though
said programming isn't nearly as depressing as watching Dave Foley return to the
small screen as the host of a fucking poker competition.
Now it gets even worse. Showing a keen grasp of the cultural zeitgeist, ESPN is planning 'Tilt'', "..one-hour shows that will explore the drama of high-stakes gambling, as well as the action away from the table where greed and revenge fuel conflict, power plays and deal making." Just a typical night at Jeremy Roenick's house, then. Posted: Mon - August 23, 2004 at 05:43 PM |
