Miss Ross' "Gift" To Greenwich, CT

from Billboard.com :

Diana Ross will stage a free concert Thursday (June 24) in Greenwich, CT. The show will take place in Roger Sherman Baldwin Park, which is adjacent to the nonprofit Arch Street Teen Center. While the show is free, 300 passes are being sold for $250 to a special post-show reception with Ross. Proceeds will benefit the teen center.

Not to look a gift horse in the mouth, but perhaps the Greenwich city fathers should take a peak at the history books where free Diana Ross concerts are concerned. The term "wilding" first entered the popular vernacular following an ill-fated 1983 Central Park concert by the former Supreme --- though the possibility of hardcore rioting in the nutmeg state is certainly something to look forward to.
