Dibble vs. Knight In Televised Pissing Match

Posted in Baseball, Sports TV at 9:34 pm by

Who’d have thought another fine performance (albeit in a losing cause) by Nationals phenom Stephen Stasburg would provoke such a spectacular war of words between MASN broadcasters Rob Dibble and Ray Knight? In the unlikely event Nats fans watching today’s postgame show were unaware of Dibs‘s or Knight’s impressive postseason achievements once upon a time, both gentlemen were all-too-quick to remind.

Good lord is Rob Dibble a colossal fucking homer douche. He’s like Kenny Powers except completely unlikeable in every aspect.

  2. Lunkwill Fook says:

What? Dibble thinks the Royals are a good hitting team? What a moron.

  3. Anthony says:

Dibble is such a jackass. If the Nationals ever want to be taken seriously, they need to get rid of this idiotic douche as their “voice.”

  4. Mark says:

I like Dibble, but agree he was a douche in this exchange…Knight is correct, when you have two strikes, work the corners a little..

  5. Todd says:

Nice “I super hard disagree” man-lean on the arm rest there, Rob. If he sat up straight, he might not look like such a tool.

” Hey! My stable of tired cliches and analysis of the obvious are way super harder than yours! Yeah! And I’m not gonna stop yelling! Cuz that will mean I lost the fight! Peace out!!!”

  6. DLM says:

Dibble is one of the nicest guys I have ever met in the press box.

  7. greatwallofchinatown says:

I guess nobody takes the Yankees seriously with Sterling and Kay as their “voices”.

  8. dennis says:

Dibble is a grade-A douche bag. The kind of guy that never grows past a high school jock mentality. Uncle Rico material.

  9. Rick says:

Rob is an embarrassment. How does this guy stay on TV? What an ass!

  10. Ronnie says:

    Dibble is an idiot.

  11. Dave says:

Ray Knight is the most useless baseball player in history. The only reason why he’s famous was highlights of the 86 world series.

  12. gus says:

Throw Dibble off TV. What a dork.

  13. Paco says:

Dibble is the least talented, and most difficult to listen to, tv broadcaster currently working in the majors. Anyone who has a small amount of exposure to different broadcast teams realizes this (even just having MLB extra innings and having to listen to away broadcasts knows).

Its not that he’s a bad person, he’s just (i) stupid and (ii) bad at his job. It’s not really his fault; whoever hired him should be embarrassed.

dibble is a jerk. i got so tired of him dismissing prior strikeout marks because “the mound was 15 inches” even though strikeout totals were lower then than they are now. he is a know-nothing, conceited meathead who is out of his league. very difficult and unpleasant to listen to.
