Ricciardi Makes Mistake of Saying What He Really Thinks

Toronto GM J.P. Ricciardi took some shots at Adam Dunn while answering a call on his radio show Wednesday night. Here’s what Ricciardi said:
œDo you know the guy doesn™t really like baseball that much? Ricciardi said to the caller. œDo you know the guy doesn™t have a passion to play the game that much? How much do you know about the player?
œThere™s a reason why you™re attracted to some players and there™s a reason why you™re not attracted to some players. I don™t think you™d be very happy if we brought Adam Dunn here ¦
œWe™ve done our homework on guys like Adam Dunn and there™s a reason why we don™t want Adam Dunn. I don™t want to get into specifics.
Ricciardi has since apologized to both the media (“I don’t even know Adam Dunn”) and Reds GM Walt Jocketty. He also sent in an application for Jeff Brantley’s job.
