Sadly, Ryan Leaf can now add “pill problems” to a c.v. that includes being one of the All-Time Draft Busts.  From the Sporting News :

Former San Diego Chargers quarterback Ryan Leaf has been placed on indefinite leave from West Texas A&M, where he had been quarterbacks coach, ESPN.com reports.

Athletic director Michael McBroom confirmed the leave, and a source told the website that Leaf admitted asking a player for a pill to help him deal with wrist pain that lingers from his playing days. McBroom would not comment on that allegation, saying an investigation had not been completed.

Leaf was in his third season with West Texas A&M and served as the men’s golf coach, too.
