From ESPN.com :

The New York Knicks have acquired Toronto Raptors guard/forward Jalen Rose (above, right) and a first-round pick in exchange for power forward Antonio Davis, ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith reports.

Davis was a likely target to be traded because of his expiring contract.

The Knicks have nine of their last 10 games.

I’m gonna presume the last sentence was meant to read “the Knicks have lost nine of their last 10 games, but perhaps Stephen A.’s Blackberry is on the fritz.

Hopefully, the change of venue will only provide more grist for Rose’s BET blog.

The Knicks travel to Toronto this evening. I’d do my best to breakdown this scintillating contest, but Chris Russo is grilling Steve Tisch right now about “King Kong”‘s disappointing box office receipts. “Did Peter Jackson get a little cocky, is that what you’re saying?”
