What major sporting organization could possibly have a problem with a man in a bear suit groping fans of all ages in front of their place of business?  OK, I can’t think of one either, but apparently the Chicago Cubs have a problem with self-described mascot-wannabe John Paul Weir (video link via Hardball Talk).  I don’t know what’s more disturbing, the Cubs and MLB’s overzealous protection of their (pseudo) intellectual property, or the fact this amazing story wasn’t on the radar for CSTB’s former chronicler of all-things-mascot-y, Liz Clayton (most assuredly occupied with bigger and much better things).
