Waiting For Mourinho To Explode

Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with local rivals Fulham on Saturday led to speculation about The Special One’s job security.  Chances are he’ll be under even greater scrutiny following tonight’s 0-0 draw at Aston Villa, a result that left the defending champs 6 points behind Manchester United.

Andriy Shevchenko has now scored exactly 3 Premiership goals in something like 2000 minutes of football.  As crap investments go, even Chan Ho Park thinks Shevy is stealing money.

Thierry Henry returned to action against Charlton today, scoring one goal and setting up another for Justin Hoyte (above), in Arsenal’s 4-0 victory.  Before the match, the Addicks learned they’d be without Darren Bent for nearly a month, as the striker suffered a knee injury in Saturday’s home win over Aston Villa.

The Offside reports that Spurs have acquired Sunderland’s Ben Alnwick, the goalkeeper who recently made international headlines for all the wrong reasons.
