WEEI Blowhards Rush To Psycho’s Defense
Steve Lyons chatted with the denizens of WEEI’s “The Big Show” this afternoon and claimed he had dinner with Lou Piniella late Friday evening. So there you have it, one of his best friends is a prominent Hispanic-American.
The program’s erudite hosts have described the firing of Lyons as “sick”, “outrageous” and in general, part of some “politically correct” ‘tude gone haywire. Amongst the bold statements, “the quickest way to ruin someone’s career is to accuse them of being a racist or a homophobe.”
I think that’s a bit of a stretch. Is John Dennis’ career really in ruins?
